On May 19th, Sony requested for the FCC to keep all PS3 filings confidential for 180 days. Today, two new Playstation 3 models have appeared on FCC’s website: CECH-2501A and CECH-2501B, both of which have the same specs except for different “HDD type.”
These FCC files should fuel recent rumors about Sony possibly introducing a cheaper PS3 at E3. However, I wonder if the new models are simply Playstation Move console bundles. Sony is already witnessing sales surges with its PS3 Slim’s $299 price.
