Audiophile speakers are among the most finicky and precarious entertainment devices to set up properly because their sound quality is so dependent on room conditions. Having the perfect environment for a speaker rig usually requires a wealthy individual, but for regular folks who simply want to listen to tunes, they can lounge in the Acoustic Immersion Pod.

Providing 5.1 surround sound that is suited for film (not necessarily music), the Pod houses 5 5.25″ woofers and a 10″ subwoofer, all with integrated amplifiers, to deliver an advertised 20Hz to 20KHz range –I would doubt the 20Hz claim, but since the chamber is poky, the 10-inch sub might really hit the lowest octaves for whoever is sitting inside. The 17-inch wide seat is heavily padded for comfort and comes in red or black for $3,000 with a lifetime Hammacher warranty. At 120 pounds, the 58″ x 34″ x 36″ Pod is lighter than many single sets of audiophile speakers.
