Shinier than a disco ball, the new Xbox 360 (not officially given the “Slim” designation) includes a 250Gb hard drive, Wireless N, new integrated 45nm graphics and processor chip that runs cooler, a Kinect port, toslink digital audio output, and perhaps best of all, an internal power supply!

The new Xbox begins shipping today. It is obviously slimmer than the original model and is reportedly much quieter because there is only one fan instead of two –moving the GPU and CPU onto one die has eliminated the need for duo fans. Memory unit slots have been removed, and the power/eject buttons are now touch sensitive.

UPDATE: Gamespot writes that the current Elite and Arcade Consoles are getting $50 cuts each, and that the new slimmer Xbox will be available as an “Arcade” bundle for $200 once the old models sell out.
