…and the best news is that it is based off Google’s Android! Altek’s Leo is running Eclair 2.1 and uses a 1/2.3-inch CCD image sensor (similar to dedicated digicams) with Xenon and LED flashlights for capturing 14-megapixel of digital glory.

CNET was unable to test the camera, but since Altek is focusing on it as a main attraction, it should be better than most smartphone versions. Altek is working to put Android 2.2 FroYo on the phone, but the Leo will be released with Eclair in Q4 for China, Hong Kong and Taiwan at an estimated $499 USD (nice!).

- Fast processor, possibly a Snapdragon or nearly equivalent ARM CPU
- 14-Megapixel Camera, 3X Optical Zoom, Xenon and LED flashlights
- 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HSDPA
