That is correct: Samsung’s Galaxy Tab, the P1000 model, looks like it is a smartphone in addition to being a primary multimedia tablet (like the Dell Streak). Can you imagine people making calls on the P1000’s Super-AMOLED 7-inch display?

Yeah, the clip is briefer than an average television ad, but it evinces a new tantalizing detail that was once just a wild guess: the 7-inch Galaxy Tab slate from Samsung is also a phone! I reckon that adding the hardware for cell phone support does not raise manufacturing costs too much, as the screen, NAND flash memory, and processor total much of the bill of material price –Samsung owns factories that make all of these components too.
