Due to overwhelming demand, the iPad’s Canadian (among other countries) launch was pushed back a month. Well, the iPhone 4’s pre-sales have been nothing short of staggering, causing system malfunctions and AT&T to suspend pre-orders temporarily. On its Canadian store page, Apple has changed the iPhone 4’s availability status from “July” to “Coming Soon.”

Since Apple has to meet all current American, French, German, Japanese, and French pre-orders and have supply for launch day sales for customers who have not pre-ordered, it stands to reason that Canadians and the 17 other nations promised the iPhone 4 in July may have to wait longer. Maybe Apple will delay the international release in some countries and not others. In Canada, the iPhone is of prime significance since all major carriers sell the device. In the States, only AT&T customers are concerned.
