ThinkGeek was the originator of the iPad arcade cabinet idea, but others are using a similar concept for real. Arcade cabinet maker Freekade (UK) is apparently planning to release a model for the iPad.

Freekade provides no further details about the iPad, but the small company could be bringing out an iPad version. ThinkGeek’s looks more “proper,” but Freekade’s is a working prototype. Perhaps if the idea catches on, ThinkGeek will be motivated to produce the iCade that popped up with on April Fool’s Day.
