£999 is a great price for a number of gadgets, such as a high-end LED television, a workstation desktop, or an antique Rolex Datejust in decent shape, but a thousand quid for a gold-plated 16Gb iPad is extravagant. What does Amosu Couture think the iPad is, an iPhone 4?
It is dubious that Amosu supplies £570 worth of 24Kt gold-plating, but buyers have to pay something extra for the workmanship, right? I am no fan of gold-plating, but if you cannot afford the $20,000 diamond Mervis iPad, the fake $434,000 platinum and diamond Stuart Hughes, and the other non-existent $186,000 solid gold iPad, then you might have to lower your standards.
Order it from Amosu Couture (or better yet, don’t!).

can you say insanity?
i mean, it’s gold-PLATING, not even real gold
