An Android smartphone called the Ace is being made by HTC. Speculation is that the Ace is either a GSM European Droid Incredible (exclusive to Verizon) or a 3G model of the Sprint Evo 4G.

Pocket Lint examines the evidence that points to the Ace as either a Droid Incredible or an Evo clone for Europeans. Since non North American Android handsets like the Legend and the Desire are landing in the States, HTC is undeniably a global company. I wonder if the Droid Incredible shortages have anything to do with the prospects of an international launch –probably not since even if the Incredible is released in Europe, it would likely happen in the fall.
