New York City restaurant South Gate has put its menu of 650 plus wine bottles onto the iPad. It is a shame that the first generation model of Apple’s breakthrough tablet is without a smell-o-sensor.

South Gate is one of many businesses turning to the iPad for professional use. Apple’s slate was mainly conceived for public consumption, but many businesses have found place for the device. When the iPad is updated next year, I reckon that Apple will include more features that facilitate professional productivity.

aww that’s a cute display - if it gets more affordable, it can be used as such an interesting restaurant decoration
