For Q3, the Cupertino corporation earned $15.7 billion revenue and $3.25 billion profit, significantly up from this time a year ago. Pictures of the Motorola Droid slider phone have allegedly surfaced from Chinese site HIAPK. They show an alleged Motorola Droid Slider device, complete with full QWERTY keyboard and the Droid Red Eye boot animation as seen on other Droid devices. More »

In my estimation, Wired is one of the beacons in today’s technology and gadget blogosphere dominated by tabloid sensationalism and quick-hit news posts without much substance. Wired has concentrated on analysis and regularly publishes insightful articles. Most surfers are probably too ADD to appreciate a lengthy and well conceived column, but I encourage people to read Wired for enlightenment. In April’s issue of the site’s magazine during calender year 1999, it predicted that Apple was going to make the “iPad.” More »

When Steve Jobs was asked why the freebies end on the 30th of September, he replied, “”We will re-examine this in September and decide whether to keep going, or maybe we will have a better idea.” Is Apple going to release the iPhone 5 in October?
