A sixteen year-old from Corby, Northamptonshire, UK has made his first million dollars within the space of two years through the creation of the Mac Bundle Box. Having been inspired by Apple CEO Steve Jobs, Christian Owens claims that there is no such thing as a secret to success, but that, “It takes hard work, determination and the drive to do something great.”

At the tender age of seven, Christian received his first very own computer and only three years later taught himself the art of web designing. Aged 14, the British teen founded his own company during 2008. The name of this company? Mac Bundle Box.

Mac Bundle Box offers a bundle of Mac OS X applications at cut rate prices but for a limited amount of time. How was Christian able to do this? By negotiating with the developers of these applications, Christian was able to gain a discount arrangement to create a package which although worth around $400, was sold off for a tenth of its retail value. To increase popularity, Christian even incorporated the genius idea of offering a new application to buyers if he had received a certain amount of sales.

This kid may be a genius, but he is no Scrooge. Christian has even given a percentage the earnings from the product to charity. He sure does live by his name. Now there are not many words which can describe a 16 year old who makes $1,000,000 from his first product within its first two years of release AND gives some of his earnings to charity.

But this is not the full story. Oh no. Christian Owens also participates in the work of Branchr, who delivers over 300 million advertisements per month amongst over 17,500 websites, Android and iPhone applications. Branchr, who employs eight adults, has earned $8,000,000 in its first year already. Even Christian’s mother is employed within the company!

What more could such an already successful teen achieve? Christian wishes to make one hundred million British pounds with his work with Branchr. His plan seems to be going well as Branch have bought another company.

Amazing. Imagine what this whizz kid will have achieved by the time he’s hit 30…

what i dont get is how does it make money? well better yet, why do companies agree to lower their price so much. If he sells 10 apps worth $200 for only $20 i cant see the big profit. plus he donates 10% to charities. so from the 20 he got $18 left. Plus i guess he gives a cut to the software companies. Lets say its an even slit over the table. The companies make what, $1.65? i dont get it. Plus the affiliate program gives you 1.50 per sale. So if it was sold by an affiliate, theres even less profit. @_@ can someone enlighten me?
