Cute Circuit’s Francesca Rosella came up with the idea for the M-Dress, whose main focus and function is to receive calls. The reason it is able to do so is the fact that there is a speaker and SIM card embedded in the sleeve cuff on the left hand side.
The inspiration for this technology and fashion fusion was as a solution for the busy woman who needed to pick up her cell ASAP from her messy purse.
Rosella and her partner, Ryan Genz, have set this dress to be used only in special occasions. So that means it isn’t going to be mass-produced anytime soon (you have to reserve it in order to wear/use it).
It seems like a really interesting idea, a staple technology like a cell phone into your outfit. I can see how it would be useful to be able to pick up important calls quickly, but it is very secret agent-esque - don’t you think?
