My new Sharp Aquos LCD TV had been working with no issues in the two months since I bought it. Without ever touching the settings or touching any of the cables, the TV stopped reconizing HDMI inputs. The cable, composite inputs, and components inputs worked fine - leaving me with no explanation as to why the HDMI inputs all of a sudden stopped working. Restoring the settings to factory default didn’t work. Flashing the bios - yes TVs have bioses now - didn’t work. Here’s what eventually did: More »

From Htcyou:

Paypal is reportedly negotiating with Google to add its payment method onto Android’s app store. Current Android smartphone users can pay their fees either through Google Checkout or via carrier billing (credit card). However, no one can deny that the king of all efficient payments is Paypal–and it looks like Google’s trying to get a part of that as well. More »

Yaniv Berg has come up with a rather unique DSLR camera design, that will turn heads around for sure. It has a totally different shape from the current cameras that you know! Apparently, the design of the camera, that’s between brackets has something of a tube, is meant to give the user a whole different photography experience. Besides that, the 180 degrees curving also makes it easier to take photos from different angles. You would definitely stand out from the crowd with this. More »

Just over a month ago, LG created a YouTube channel for a mini-soap called The Young and the Connected—and it’s hilarious. This, my friends, is what happens when good money is put in the pockets of funny people to create awesome advertising. LG takes your average over-the-top soap opera and adds in massive Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare innuendos, all culminating in me clutching my stomach while laughing like a maniac. More »

About a month ago I was lucky enough to get a free iPad. I know this is somewhat a crime to say, but I really haven’t been using it much other than to review apps that I get. I believe one of those apps (which I suspect to be We Rule) caused my iPad to inexplicably just turn off and won’t turn back on. In the past when this glitchiness happens, holding down the power button for 5 seconds fixes it for me. If that doesn’t work you can connect it to your iTunes computer and have it restore your iPad. Fixed yet? My problem was a bit more severe and required some extra effort to fix. Here’s the step-by-step: More »

The guys over at Slateare pretty much convinced Amazon will soon be selling Wi-Fi Kindlesfor a mere $99 –and they have logic to back it up. Towards the end of September, Amazon came out with a new batch of Kindles that not only thinner, lighter and smaller than the ones that preceded them, but the Wi-Fi versions were also just $139, the cheapest in the market. They say Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is crazy when it comes to having the best price, and it looks like they’re right — he just refuses to be undersold by any company. More »
