The Bio-Bug is a modified Volkswagen Beetle that ‘has been converted to run on biogas produced by the Wessex Water Sewage plant in Avonmouth, Bristol. The makers of this car are a UK based company called GENeco. They claim drivers cannot tell the difference of a ‘poo-powered car’, believing this will be a viable alternative to electric vehicles. The Bio-Bug emits three tonnes of carbon dioxide in an average year whilst a conventional vehicle emits 3.5 tonnes. The Bio-bug is a conventional 2 litre Volkswagen Beetle convertible which can run both on fuel and compressed methane gas. More »

Paul Shin Devine has been arrested for accepting $1 million worth of kickbacks from suppliers, who have not been named, of iPhone and iPod accessories in Asia in return for confidential information. The Multi Mill created by NL Architect won a design competition to turn a harbor in Amsterdam into an entertainment area. The concept of the Multi Mill is an attempt to combine a theater and cinema space with a waterfront lounge area. This isn’t just a normal theater though, as this one spins around as you watch.
