While it was nice that Samsung finally announced the great Galaxy Tab tablet, they did fail to offer up any official details in terms of pricing. As a consequence, that little lack of information has lead to some spectacular wide variety of price rumors. But has Samsung cleaned up the rumors?

It all started off with a price of $895. The 16GB Galaxy Tab was spotted in a product listing with online retailer Expansys sporting a $895 price tag.

Furthermore, some retailers have tipped the price in France and Germany to be $890 US and $1,020 US respectively.

Then again, the official German O2 Twitter account has made mention of a $970 US price tag with a $127 US deposit and $35 USD a monthly price thereafter.

And now we’re just dreaming because the price was only $250 as been mentioned by a Samsung supporter. Which rumor to believe? With that, I think a wait for something official from Samsung may be in order. I don’t believe that is $250.. or was it a fake statement? Who knows, we will just have for Samsung to clear it up.
