Tons of people all over the world use TinyPic to share pictures - including us Ningin writers - so of course there was a huge uproar when international users saw the message above when they tried to access their files.
According to reports, the block was done without warning and only US, UK, Canadian, and Australian users could still use the site. Because of numerous emailed complaints, TinyPic has removed the block and apologized, saying their “intent was to begin combining some of the best features of Tinypic and Photobucket, thereby offering users a better experience.”
There’s no doubt TinyPic lost a lot of users from this mishap. I just want to know, why wasn’t there a warning maybe a couple of weeks in advance?
