China has revealed it’s new supercomputer called the Tianhe-1A, which is 43% faster than any other supercomputer in history. China with Nvidia and Intel worked together in creating the supercomputer. The Tianhe-1A was developed at China’s National University of Defense Technology (NUDT), and is fully operational. More »

The world’s largest climbing wall is Excalibur, located in the Netherlands, and measures 121 feet tall with an overhand of 36 feet. The Los Angeles Auto Show is back again and this time they have challenged automobile designers and car enthusiasts to come up with car design that is, “a 1,000lb [453.6kg], four-passenger vehicle that is both comfortable and safe, while delivering satisfactory driving performance without sacrificing the styling consumers’ demand.” More »


Planes that used to drop bombs are now being used to drop tree-mines. Using C-130 transport aircraft that used to drop landmines on battle fields have been converted to dropping trees in remote areas. The idea originates from RAF pilot Jack Walters, and has been developed by US company Lockheed Martin Aerospace. Each C-130 aircraft can drop and plant 900,000 young trees a day. More »

Apple’s iPhone should watch out for its current top mobile phone gaming spot as Sony are bringing out the PlayStation Portable equivalent of a smartphone on Android’s popular operating system.
