A free XWave iPhone application was recently revealed and many have been interesting in it. The app displays your brainwaves and a graphical ball that can be raised when you focus your thoughts. Unfortunately, you have to put a clamp onto your head and that clamp costs $100.

You can also measure your degree of relaxation by reading the pulsating color. When you get more relaxed, the color will move more towards to the blue part of the color spectrum.

It is not an official scientific instrument but it is said to be a lot of fun, if you have $100 to spend. I don’t think I would be trying out the app in public, the headgear looks way too weird but it is a pretty cool thing to be able to see your brainwaves.
