An Apple patent has offered a new suggestion for the magic mouse – showing an display embedded in its touch surface. Not much information has been given on how much processing power the display-enabled mouse would have. Also, it would have some self capability to run integrated apps.

Parts of the touch display surface can be set to work as buttons. As well as this, the patent reckons this display technology can be used in the Magic Trackpad or in the MacBook trackpad. I find these suggestions quite interesting. It is clear that this hasn’t been thoroughly thought through, be it is still very inventive.
