Starting February 15th, pre-paid Virgin Mobile users will have data transfer set at 5GB, which means the end of unlimited data transfer. This will result in significant change in speed. They claim that the reason for doing so is to”implement network controls to ensure optimal experience.” Those who have smartphones like the Samsung Intercept will not notice that much difference. However, people with usb modem certainly will, since it’s not that hard to use up 5GB on their laptops.
