Facebook is close to trademarking the term “face” in relation to online social networking and related activities. But nothing has been said about it in Europe. When Facebook was still in its early days, there was a screenshot taken.

Its EU wide trademark was granted in October 2006, and is about to expire on May 24th 2014. It’s not entirely been reported though.
