A Norwegian politician spoke out about WikiLeaks, and soon nominated the service for the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize. Snorre Valen, a member of parliament in Norway, said “WikiLeaks is one of this century’s most important contributors to freedom of speech and transparency”. He cited WikiLeaks role in disclosing the assets of Tunisia’s former president, Zine El Abedine Ben Ali and his nearest family, doing his bit in the protests that forced them into exile. More »
