On the PS3 and Wii web browser, Youtube is already available through a special designed site. HP were supposed to debut in the tablet industry with the HP TouchPad this summer, but rumours are placing the launch date earlier, with some even pointing towards April as a possibility. Amazon has released a new commercial for the Kindle, taking aim at its competitor, the iPad. The commercial shows the fact that there are over 800,000 titles in the Kindle book store, and mentions the long battery life of the Kindle. It also highlights the difficulty of reading on the iPad in direct sunlight, while the Kindle is perfectly visible in direct sunlight. Notice that all of the actors in the commercial seem to be in their twenties and thirties, hinting that Amazon is targeting a younger demographic. In addition, Amazon has come up with a new tagline, “The Book Lives On.” More »
