Zediva, a new site offering DVD streaming, is said to be illegal, according to copyright lawyer Bob Garrett. Unlike sites like Netflix, Zediva doesn’t stream digital copies but the actual DVDs from actual DVD players. They buy the DVDs, which will be streamed from a bank of DVD players located in Silicon Valley. Customers will be able to control over the DVD players for four hours. More »

From Rekuru: 10 Japanese companies have decided that they will put chargers on vending machines all around Japan. Forking Co., a vending machine producer, and Panasonic Electric Works will be working together to install electric vehicle chargers on both new cars and the vending machines. This is probably one of Japan’s ways to allow drivers to save money and it’s innovative - as always. But it’s pretty cool.
