For the past couple months, Google has been releasing multiple new search features for the iPhone and Andriod-powered smartphones that make it much simpler to find local businesses and restaurants. Now for the US, they have launched a new feature that will allow the user to only filter restaurants/business that are open, based on their listed hours. This will become really useful when you have a sudden craving for Chinese food at 11 at night. More »


Zediva, a new site offering DVD streaming, is said to be illegal, according to copyright lawyer Bob Garrett. Unlike sites like Netflix, Zediva doesn’t stream digital copies but the actual DVDs from actual DVD players. They buy the DVDs, which will be streamed from a bank of DVD players located in Silicon Valley. Customers will be able to control over the DVD players for four hours. More »

Forking Co., a vending machine producer, and Panasonic Electric Works will be working together to install electric vehicle chargers on both new cars and the vending machines.
