A recent report by RBC analyst Mike Abramsky, 99.7% of the world population don’t own any tablet by the end of 2010. The chart above shows there are only 394 million people using smartphones and tablets, which is a little number compared to other markets, such as 600 million TV subscriptions, 1.3 billion total PCs, and 5.1 million mobile subscribers. It has already been confirmed that over half of the UK’s population use Facebook, and now they have revealed that the whole social networking application will be completely different in a year’s time. Stephen Haines, director of Facebook UK, explained how the transformation would work, saying “There have been eight iterations of the [main] Facebook design over the last few years… [and] it will look different in a year.
