Apparently, PlayStation One game downloads are so grimly low on the Android Market that they are only occurring in the hundreds. Some suspect that this is because PS1 games can be purchased for many other devices. However, people have gone to such lengths as hunting for another gamer on Dungeon Defenders Second Wave to play with in a game of Xperia PvP, but were unable to.

Commenting on this, Sony Ericsson’s Dominic Neil-Dwyer said, “I think there’s also an awareness thing for people that are getting their hands on the device and where they are choosing to purchase games. There’s only a few, at the minute, PlayStation One titles there, and there’s more coming on a regular basis, and there’s the whole PlayStation as a content provider exclusive to the device, the story about that, that will emerge and people will see”.

Perhaps if more games are made available for this device, there will be more interested users.
