The power of technology…wow. There is a new kind of floor tiles that are designed to make sure people walk on one side, and one side only. This is to organize pedestrian traffic flow in the best way possible.

How does it work? By having semi-circular lenses with an image underneath, the images appeared on the tile will move to the right. Since people are likely to use their visual sense to maintain balance while walking, their eyes will be attracted to the right. So by following this pattern, everyone will walk to the right, creating a uniformed way of walking. The best thing is, the pattern all occurs in your mind, so no electricity is required.

And now my own opinion. In all honesty, who keeps their eyes glued to the ground when they walk? Without looking at the ground at all times, this technology will not work. Perhaps I’m missing a big chunk of the information here…they have yet to prove me wrong. Oh and…did anyone get my pun in the title?
