Phone service and maker company, T-Mobile, has let customers know that it has kept its promise it made at CES earlier this year and has doubled 4G speeds. So just how many of these T-Mobile markets will get this faster speed? 55. Users will now be able to achieve download speeds of up to 42Mbps.
But you might be wondering, none of T-Mobile’s devices currently can achieve that speed. Not to worry - on May 25th, T-Mobile is launching its T-Mobile Rocket 3.0 laptop stick that will produce those desired speeds. With this handy device, it will let users access and obtain that awesome speed of 42Mbps. However, it does have a T-Mobile Connection Manager that is built-in and will keep track of your monthly data usage.
Another amazing feature of the device is that it can connect to a microSD card that can be later used as a flash drive. The best part of this feature is that you’re able to text friends when your phone is dead. Working on Windows XP, Vista, 7, and Mac OS X computers, this device will be have a $99.99 price tag (after $50 rebate and 2-year contract) or $199.99 without.
If you’re wondering which markets will get 4G, here you go:
Albany, Ga.; Athens, Ga.; Atlanta, Ga.; Auburn, Ala.; Augusta, Ga.; Austin, Texas; Bentonville, Ark.; Boulder, Colo.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Chicago, Ill.; Dallas, Texas; Deltona-Daytona Beach-Ormond Beach, Fla.; Denver, Colo.; Detroit, Mich.; Durham, N.C.; El Paso, Texas; Fort Collins, Colo.; Gainesville, Fla.; Gainesville, Ga.; Greeley, Colo.; Honolulu, Hawaii; Houston, Texas; Jacksonville, Fla.; Long Island, N.Y.; Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana, Calif.; Macon, Ga.; Mayaguez, Puerto Rico; Miami, Fla.; New Orleans, La.; Oklahoma City, Okla.; Olympia, Wash.; Omaha, Neb.; Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura, Calif.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Ponce, Puerto Rico; Portland, Ore.; Salinas, Calif.; San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont, Calif.; San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, Calif.; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Santa Cruz-Watsonville, Calif.; Santa Rosa-Petaluma, Calif.; Savannah, Ga.; Seattle, Wash.; Spokane, Wash.; Tampa, Fla.; Tulsa, Okla.; Valdosta, Ga.; Vallejo-Fairfield, Calif.; Warner Robins, Ga., and Wichita, Kan.
