CEO of French fashion brand Lanvin, Thierry Andretta, has recently declared Wednesdays as email-free days because of the stress he gets from reading tons of emails daily.

Andretta says,

“[W]hen you read emails when you are traveling you are not there, you are elsewhere which is a shame. It prevents you from really tuning into your surroundings and sinking in the atmosphere which is something I want to do more.”

He plans to use the free day to get his mind away from emails and concentrate on his other work, since the large amount of emails has been depressing him.

I guess this must be just something famous people have to deal with. I don’t find myself getting so many emails that I need a free day of the week, but I guess if that’s what he needs, then he should go on ahead and do that!

Haha, I agree! Although I get way less emails than the CEO,
checking emails constantly for info & notices are annoying at times.
