Quepasa, a social networking site for Latinos, has recently acquired myYearbook for $100 million, comprised of about $82 million in Quepasa common stock and about $18 million in cash.
With this merger, now both companies combined have more than 70 million registered users, 2.2 million app installs, 11.5 million mobile game installs, and 2.1 million social game installs.
According to Quepasa CEO John Abbott, this combination “nearly doubles the size of Quepasa’s existing user base.” There’s also a higher growth in mobile and social games, advertising and virtual currency.
Anyone here on Quepasa or myYearbook?
