Were you one of those souls who decided to buy an iMac between May and July of this year? Does your iMac have a 1TB Seagate HDD? Well, apparently, word on the street is that it could have the potential to fail on ya. But no sweat because Apple will replace those drives with a whole brand-new, spanking drive that will leave you smiling and your computer working. At no additional cost.
Those who could be affected have been emailed, but you can always check to see if you’re one of the affected customers. (Check here.) If so, drop it off at your local Apple Store or authorized service center. A word of caution: back up your files. You might not see them again if you don’t. Better safe than sorry!
