The British will be saying “Hello, jolly old good fellow” to Google TV when the service is slated to come out within six months. But, do me a favor, good British citizens, and keep the excitement down because there’s quite a bit to do in the process before it comes over.

CEO Eric Schmidt is widely expected to announce the plan some time during the Edinburgh Television Festival, but when exactly it’ll come out is anyone’s best guess at the moment. But are you excited, those of you who live in the UK?
