Rumours have been flying round that Apple is apparently going to announce the highly anticipated iPhone 5 at a press conference. That conference is currently on schedule to take place on October 5th, a very short time away in fairness.

Pocket Gamer has reported this news. They were informed by an unnamed source that “a week later”, the product is to go on sale. However, I wouldn’t believe every word said, because there have been reports of a possible delay.

An October launch has been highlighted by many reports by now. Reuters and the Wall Street Journal had reported last month that the new iPhone is likely to be similar to the current model, only thinner and lighter with an improved digital camera, and maybe even a bigger touchscreen in line for Apple’s new device.
