Apparently, Apple has some others plans this year besides making announcements about its iOS software and purported iPhone 5/4S. It seems that the company wants to do away with its iPod Classics and iPod Shuffles.

According to TUAW,

it seems that the “product transition” Apple mentioned on the last earnings call could very well be within the iPod line. Specifically, if you want to buy an iPod shuffle or iPod classic from Apple, you should do it sooner rather than later. We’ve heard those two iPods are getting the axe this year.

Apple enthusiasts may also see a few other changes to the iPod Touch and that the iPod Nanos are currently safe. With the iPhone and all, fewer people are buying the iPods and iPod Touches.

But as with all rumors, take a pinch of salt with you.

What? Nooo I love ipod classic… mine broke and I wanted a new one… but got an itouch, which also broke :/

i actually dont really like the iphone or ipad ;x i can buy a better tablet from some other brand n stuff. i like the ipod nanos :( but i used to like teh shuffle cause it fit exercising a lot :D never got it though..


Hm. Yeah, the iPhone and iPad are pretty much what’s popular nowadays, so it kinda makes sense if they’re gonna get rid of the older stuff.
