Mitsubishi Electric has revealed that they are seeking to construct the fastest elevators in the world as a new project in China. The lifts will be placed in the Shanghai Tower, and will travel from the basement to the 119th floor at 59 feet per second, which beats out the current fastest elevator of 55 feet per second.
