Samsung has reported that its Galaxy S II, which made its debut last April, has moved 10 million units. This may not compare to the iPhone numbers, which sold 20 million units in Q2 alone, but it sure is impressive for an Android phone to move such large numbers with so many other Android phones to choose from out there. You’d have thought the Chinese DIY tinkerers have stopped after the great Iron Man suits or homemade iPads, but seems like a Chinese farmer Shu Mansheng has surprised us all over again with his flying saucer.

The machine is powered by eight motorcycle motors, all with propellers, and stands in an 18-foot diameter. Sounds simple, but it sure isn’t when you make it.

So far, the machine that hovers around 3.3 feet in the air for around 10 seconds is worth up to $3,135. And the best part is, there is no remote controls needed.

It sure is quite impressive for someone that isn’t trained for these skills. Not quite sure exactly what the device should do in the future other than hover for 10 seconds. But we’ll see.
