With production on new units halted mid-September and rumors of a thinner design for the new models, it seems as though the refresh for the MacBook Pro could be arriving as soon as in the next couple weeks.
According to a trust AppleInsider source, the new MacBook Pro models were planned for late September but were then delayed after the iPhone 4S was confirmed for its October 14 release date. Rather than releasing both and having them compete for the spotlight, Apple apparently left the new date in the air and told retailers to not expect any more systems until the November schedule appears.
For many retailers, they’ve already started to run out and considering Apple stopped producing units since mid-September, it makes sense that we should see an update soon.
Considering November is just around the corner, I’d say we’re going to get an official announcement any day now. Hopefully with significant improvements from the last model.

Cool ^^
Makes sense - no need to have the MacBook and iPhone be released at the same time. Hope Apple makes the announcement soon!
And yeah, makes sense~
