Yesterday, we heard how Verizon would begin charging a $2 convenience fee for those who don’t pay their bills via the counter or auto-billing. Now, they have announced that this will not be put into place after all.
The announcement came after numerous (and expected) complaints from customers as well as a hint that the FCC would be investigating.
In fact, the fee was not supposed to even be known about yet and was only uncovered via a leaked document. Don’t you wonder what would have happened had the fee not been leaked and simply put into place straight away?
