Pegatron Corp,one of Apple’s supplier, has exploded in Shanghai’s Songjiang industrial park on the 18th around 3:40pm local time. Due to this explosion 57 workers have been injured, where 23 of them has been hospitalized with burns. Because of this explosion, Apple’s iPad2 production will be affected.

Pegatron’s Chief Financial Officer Carles Lim said, “The factory has not started operations yet. Part of the facility is still under pre-operation inspection and part is running trial production.”
