According to the folks over at Gizmodo, the Acer Aspire S5 is indeed the ‘ultra-thinnest’ Ultrabook. The device has an aluminum body which is quite heavy considering that it’s an Ultrabook, but it’s probably because it comes with a 13-inch screen (1366 x 768 resolution).
The S5 has a very functional keyboard and trackpad and it feels more polished than Acer’s last Ultrabook attempt, the Aspire S3. The device also comes with a ‘Magical I/O port panel’ located in the back, which drops down exposing an HDMI, USB 3.0 and 20Gbps Thunderbolt.
Acer Aspire S5 will be displayed at the upcoming CES 2012.
