The UK is finally getting the Palm Pre but they’ll be getting the GSM version. It’s not official yet, but O2 has secured broad global rights to the Pre in March, and is looking to launch the Pre in UK. This comes after pictures of a GSM Pre floating around the net.

If you’re a torrent file sharer, you’ve been hit with a low blow as The Pirate Bay will ceast to exist as a free file sharing site but will rather have a new business model making the content on the site legit.

Global Gaming Factory X, the company in negotiations to buy The Pirate Bay is a Swedish gaming company. The acquisition will be for $7.8 million and will offer shares to investors. More »

Let’s add the Playstation PSP to the list of Chinese clones. The Venus JXD300 is the copied clone and despite its PSP look, it can only play Nintendo Gameboy Advance and NES games.

It is also capable of playing other media formats as RMVB, RM, AVI, MPG, FLV and even Video-CD (VCD) files. Just think if these guys were in the Western countries, this will never fly but if these clones sell in other countries, then why not continue to make them right?

It’s finally official, Steve Job, the Apple CEO is finally back on the job after receiving a kidney transplant in a Memphis hospital two months ago.

Apple released a statement with the announcement that Jobs is officially back at work:

“Steve Jobs is back to work. He is at Apple a few days a week and working from home the other days,” Apple spokesman Steve Dowling said. “We’re glad to have him back.” More »

The New York Times is reporting that Acer is attempting to do what no foreign country has ever done, become the #2 PC manufacturer in the world by selling at low cost netbooks, laptops and desktops. More »
