Intel has recently introduced its new Nikiski Ultrabook concept which comes with a keyboard-wide transparent touchscreen. The transparent strip doubles as a trackpad when open and as a window into the screen when it’s closed. Both sides of the strip support capacitive touch, so you can also interact with the device through the window when closed, such as view calendar, read emails, as well as browse the web. More »


According to the folks over at Gizmodo, the Acer Aspire S5 is indeed the ‘ultra-thinnest’ Ultrabook. The device has an aluminum body which is quite heavy considering that it’s an Ultrabook, but it’s probably because it comes with a 13-inch screen (1366 x 768 resolution). More »
