I’m a great Sony lover myself - their products are of impressive quality and it is a brand I both recognize and trust in to provide me with excellent electronics. However, as with most things, quality comes with a bigger price tag and these two high-end heaphones are no exception. More »

I must preface the following article by noting that the prices are in Canadian funds, that a few of the key components purchased are pre-owned, and that an operating system is not included. The used gear that I obtained are fairly common deals that can be sourced locally through Craigslist or even eBay. After i4i won a $290 million USD lawsuit against Microsoft last year for infringing on the plaintiff’s patented XML reading capability, judges gave the defendant until today to release a revised version of Office and Word, which now no longer contains Word’s ability to read XML files. More »
10 Things You Need to Know About the PS3 Slim -
Sony’s slimmed-down PS3 is a cute little ugly duckling, and not without its concessions. From fewer USB ports to an over-priced vertical stand, and its removed “Install Other OS” feature, here’s what you should know before picking one up.
I actually plan to buy a PS3 Slim myself. I like that the matte finish is more scratch and fingerprint resistant, even if it comes over as a little retro Chinese knock-off. Snow Leopard shipping August 28th, says Apple’s UK online store -
We’ve heard whispers that Apple might be unleashing Snow Leopard to the unwashed masses a bit earlier than September, but this listing in the company’s UK online store is the most concrete evidence we’ve seen to date. Still up as of this writing, the page clearly says Snow Leopard is shipping by next Friday, August 28th. No way to actually order it at this point and no clue whether or not this is just some glitch, but if the gang at Cupertino are really planning to launch in a week’s time, we wouldn’t be surprised to hear something official sooner rather than later…Engadget

The program, introduced on July 13th, gave current and former employees and others who held Facebook stock, the option to sell up to 25% or $1 million of their stock to DST. The offer to sell stock options, was given to current employees first, followed by former employees. Many employees took the offer and sold a portion of their stock. While some would argue that cashing in stock options were premature, even calling the employees mercenaries, I think these employees did the right thing and here’s 4 reasons why…Ziggytek
