neofonie’s WePad had an inauspicious start when it was discovered that its press conference showcased a prototype that was merely running a video, not the custom Linux operating system, which was hailed. From Htcyou: Archos has been making tablets as media players/web browsing devices for sometime, well before Apple’s iPad. Last year’s Archos 5 shipped with Android 1.5 and was not well reviewed.
