AT&T, a wireless provider for the US, has partnered with FlipSwap to offer its customers a new trade in program through through all of its retail locations. You will now be able to exchange unwanted mobile devices for AT&T credits, which can be used to purchase or offset the cost of products and services available by the company. And two statements read: More »

A new federal class action lawsuit argues that AT&T are overbilling on iPhone and iPad accounts. Their scheme is akin to a rigged gas pump that “charges for a full gallon when it pumps only nine-tenths of a gallon into your car’s tank”. According to the consulting firm, web traffic was typically overstated by 7 to 14 percent. More »

AT&T is quietly offering some iPhone customers of theirs the ability to switch to unlimited data plans in order to keep them from defecting to Verizon. Apparently, the offer is being made to customers who had previously been on an unlimited data plan for the iPhone on AT&T but had switched to one of the company’s lower-cost capes plans when it restructured its data plans as the iPhone 4 was announced last June. Verizon and AT&T have both decided to cancel their upgrade discount programmes respectively. Both of these cancellations have occurred within days of each other. Some policies that could “streamline” things have been given to us though. They will apparently arrive on January 23rd. Take a look at them… More »

AT&T is apparently ‘evaluating’ the Personal Hotspot feature on iPhone 4, but there are no plans to announce it this time around. Now that Verizon has announced to offer the feature, there arises the question whether AT&T will do the same soon. As Verizon hasn’t talked about data plan pricing yet, AT&T is probably waiting for more details before announcing their own service. More »

It’s a done deal, folks. Verizon is officially getting its share of the Apple iPhone. While Verizon users are jumping for joy, this new acquisition may spell out some bad news for the guys over at Google, who are grabbing their Android devices and running for the hills. Well, not really, but this iPhone expansion could affect Android sales quite profoundly. More »

In order to promote the Amazon Kindle app for Windows Phone 7, Amazon Wireless is now offering three AT&T WP7 handsets for only 1¢, including the LG Quantum, Samsung Focus, and the HTC Surround. You will need a new two-year agreement to take this deal, which is valid only until January 17th. More »

With the release of the highly popular iPhone 4, both Apple and AT&T are seeing a sharp decline in the sales of previous generation iPhones, particularly the iPhone 3GS. Well, to supposedly make room for newer generation iPhones, AT&T has revealed that they will begin selling the previous gen 3GS iPhone for a mere $49! More »
AT&T is now working together with BMW to provide wireless internet connection for future BMW models, so you can always check out the traffic information, weather conditions, or do anything you want with internet connection. More »

It must be becoming a serious issue for AT&T to produce a 10 minute documentary on why you shouldn’t drive and text at the same time. Even if you go to the nearest AT&T store and purchase a brand new phone, it will come wrapped in paper that says “TXTNG & DRIVING… IT CAN WAIT.” They are pretty serious about this. This documentary is called “The Last Text.” There are eight volunteers who appear on film, talking about their experiences with texting and driving at the same time. As silly as you may think this is, it’s actually a very serious problem. Unless there is a new phone where it can, essential, tell you what your message says, you can’t keep your eyes on the road and at your phone at the same time. It’s just not possible. So everyone. Don’t drive and text. That’s a big no-no. More »

If you’ve seen some of the more recent T-Mobile ads for the MyTouch, one of the main distinguishing factors that it emphasizes is that users can make video calls over the 4G network, rather than over a wi-fi connection like with the Apple iPhone. Oh, wait. What’s that? The iPhone can make those calls now too? Read on… More »

Cell phone provider AT&T recently announced that they will be expanding their wi-fi hot spot coverage in two cities in the United States: New York City and San Francisco. While hot spots are already found in such locations as Starbucks and and airports, this will be the first time that AT&T provides wi-fi support in public places. More »
AT&T has now given all GoPhone users a brand new prepaid plan to get excited over! Starting October 3rd users will have the options of a pay as you go plan, where you only pay for the days you use your phone, an unlimited talk and text nationwide for $2 a day (on the days you use your phone), and an unlimited talk and text plan with the option of 200MB of data. Sounds good, doesn’t it? More »

Word has it that AT&T and T-Mobile will soon offer their cellular networking services in New York City subway stations. I’m jumping up and down in T-Mobile excitement. If you live in NYC, you know how awful it is for your train to go underground — while you’re still on the phone. Simply stated, I’m signal-less for a good 3 hours due to my commute every day.
