The mythical CDMA iPhone 4 refuses to die despite official statements from Verizon and Sprint that neither network has any knowledge of its existence. Digitimes is again reporting that Taiwanese manufacturer Pegatron Technology is preparing to ship CDMA versions of the iPhone 4 in Q4 of 2010. More »

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Dan Schulman of Sprint has conceded what everyone knows, that the Palm Pre has failed to live up to expectations. Sprint CFO Robert Brust says that his company would “love” to carry the iPhone, but unfortunately, there is no contract in place to do so. Brust’s statement should dispel the notion that the 10 million CDMA iPhones that Apple has allegedly ordered are going anywhere near Sprint, yet Verizon iPhone rumors persist despite Ivan Seidenberg’s (Verizon CEO) statement that he did not know whether his company was getting the coveted phone. Not sure if you’ve heard the latest rumors but apparently Veriozon’s CEO, Lowell McAdams has been paying Steve Jobs’ Apple headquarter visits the past few months, apparently because Verizon is working on a CDMA version of the iPhone.

This could only mean 2 things, Verizon is teasing customers again or things are pretty bad in AT&T land that Apple is looking for another wireless carrier to become the exclusive carrier of the iPhone.
