God of War III, moving 1.1 million copies, was the highest profile release in March, and the PS3 exclusive game helped Sony’s system skyrocket 44% in sales during the month. After years of lagging behind the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii, the PS3 seems to be gaining more momentum, as it has increased sales for each of the past 8 consecutive months. More »


NPD reports that for the first time in several years, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 has earned first place in the monthly gaming console sales rankings. The 360 moved 422,000 units. Meanwhile, over in Japan, Sony’s PSP go continues to be a disaster, with 3-month sales totals of only 17,618 handhelds. More »
