Microsoft has dropped the bigger Xbox 360 consoles by $50. On Father’s Day, Walmart is giving an extra $50 eGift Card to anyone who purchases an Xbox 360 Arcade bundle, which includes Banjo Kazooie and Viva Pinata, online. Microsoft has just announced two Xbox bundles for this holiday season. The first is the Xbox 360 Elite Holiday Bundle. It includes an Xbox 360 Elite, Lego Batman: The Video Game and Pure. It should be available soon in the US and Canada for $299.

The second bundle is the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Game Pack. The Controller Game Pack is going on sale in all regions with LIVE and includes 1 Xbox 260 Black Wireless Controller, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, Lumines LIVE!, Bomberman LIVE! and a downloadable token for Ms Pac-Man. This bundle retails for $59.99

Looks like Microsoft and Yahoo may not be working together as closely as many thought. News coming out directly from Yahoo’s senior director Burke Culligan at the Deutsche Bank Technology Conference, says that Yahoo may let users choose which search engine they want to run on their pages. This choice in engine wasn’t what Microsoft and Yahoo had originally agreed on, or what we thought they agreed on. More »
