By now, you have probably read that Apple is not going to recall the iPhone 4 when it hosts a press conference this morning. The New York Times is citing a source who says that the iPhone 4’s antenna problems could still potentially be fixed through software. More »

Arina Kamorova has designed a new concept model for a shower. The Cocoon Egg shower gets its name from the obvious shape of the unit. Not only does it function as a shower, but it also can be used as a bath tub, or even a hydro massager. More »

We take a lot of things for granted. Sight, touch, smell, taste, and hearing. Ever wonder how a deaf person uses a phone? Well, they probably don’t, but that could very well change in the next couple years. More »

TVs are advancing more and more each day, so much that they now have access to Internet apps. Well, the new glass TVs from Ad Notam are truly from the future, so much that they blend in with the design of your living room. Dell seems to be in the tech spotlight today, focusing especially on design rather than functionality. First with the press release of their new Adamo and now their designer laptops with designs ranging from baseball to nail polish. Dell has cut deals with the MLB association and OPI, an international nail polish and fashion company to create nail polish and baseball oriented designer laptops.

This is all part of the Dell Design Studio, which allows you to add on anything on your laptop that’s related to baseball or nail polish. Dell’s event had no mention of any specs today, instead focusing all on design, which seemed to be the theme of the event. As you can see in the image (Dell Laptop with Swarovski crystals), there is no limit in the imagination of the user, they can put whatever Dell has available right on the lid of your laptop. Check out more images of Dell’s crazy designer creations after the break. More »

If you’re one of those people who’s not easily disgusted and have a thing for skulls, then have we got the perfect gadget for you. Artist Ivan Mavrovic has designed a mouse made out of a sheep’s skull. Yup that’s right, you’ll be pushing around a sheep’s dried up head.

But don’t worry the sheep skull design is not for sale, so you won’t find it at your favorite electronic shop. The design is definitely unique and different but not one that would be appreciated by the masses. More »

Modern lamp design seems to be the buzz in home designing and nothing is more worthy of entering people’s homes than designer Park Woo Sung’s colorful, modular lamps. The modular lamp allows you to put together various light pieces which end up forming the lamp shade after completion, similar to that of building blocks.

The lamp shade color is completely the user’s preference and allows them to stack in whatever color combination they want. Some of the colors offered are red, purple, green, blue, orange, and white. This is a great modern design idea that adds flair, pizazz and a comforting tone to any home. Unfortunately, no word yet on price or availability.

Wall clocks are getting more sophisticated every day. Check out this clock, the Good Afternoon, which uses diffuse light as hands instead of the traditional ticking pieces of metal or plastic. It’s a design created by Japan’s Mile Project.

There’s a glass surface with narrow slits that allow rays of light to act as the hour, minute and second hands. Now looking at the design, it’s so simple, yet so cool. It makes you wonder why someone hasn’t come out with the design already. Wall clocks are definitely getting more high tech, I’d love to have one these, wouldn’t you? More »

As phone become more sophisticated, new designs and concepts start to pop up. Here’s one from designer Seunghan Song, the Window Phone. The concept is a translucent phone, that will display information on a window like surface.

Just by looking at the concept phone, it’ll have a hard time actually being practical but you can’t blame the designer for thinking outside the box The phone will have the ability to change its look based on how the weather is outside (clear screen on sunny days, virtual rain drops on rainy days). It’s going to be a tough sell if this thing ever does come into fruition. More »

I’m not a fan of calendars. I don’t have one on my desk nor do I like scheduling things. I do my best to remember things but a new calendar concept by Oscar Diaz, just might make me get a wall calender. Diaz’s calendar concept is called Ink Calendar and it displays the days of the calendar in a pretty cool way, using ink and a special kind of paper. (Pictures and more details after the break) More »
